In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Bonus Content
Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
